NSW LNP must reverse forced council amalgamations to win next election

The issue for the NSW Liberal/National Party (LNP) is not so much its leader but its undemocratic policies like forced council amalgamations.baird-approval-falls-when-council-amalagamted

The graph shows how much, resigning NSW Premier, Mike Baird’s popularity plummeted after he introduced forced council amalgamations.

The LNP’s fortunes have declined over the issues of forced council amalgamations, culminating in the historic 34% swing against it in the Orange By-election. The LNP has lost both its leader – the Premier and Deputy Leader – over this issue.

Unless the new Premier reverses the undemocratic decision to force council amalgamations there is little chance the LNP will win the next election in 2019.

History shows NSW Baird Gov council amalgamation plans are a sure way to lose next election.
