Have you seem the video “Paper Run Reprise“? In it you have the streets and beaches of Pittwater from 1956. These are then compared with the streets and beaches in 2012.
In those 56 years the streetscape and the beaches have actually become more beautiful. There are lots more trees, many of these beautiful natives. Carparks on the beaches are less obvious as are our houses and other building.
One can easily argue this is due to Pittwater Council and it’s policies, views and visions. We have these ideals and can live by them because we have a council which is strong, independent and local. A council which is a true democracy – formed by the people, for the people.
